The Applied Network course introduces students to the fundamental concepts and practical skills required for understanding and working with computer networks. Through hands-on activities, theoretical learning, and problem-solving exercises, students will explore the building blocks of modern networking technologies, including the principles behind local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and the Internet.
Students will be guided through the process of setting up and troubleshooting basic network infrastructures, learning about essential networking hardware like routers, switches, and cables. Emphasis will be placed on real-world applications of networking, including communication protocols, security, and network management. By the end of the course, students will be able to design and configure small networks, understand how data travels through these networks, and apply basic network security measures.
